Conference interpreting: how it works

1. Get in touch
Tell me about your event: languages needed, onsite or online, duration, and topic. If this is our first time working together, we can arrange a call to get to know each other.

2. Receive our agreement
I’ll be in touch to confirm the specifics of the assignment, including the fee, and I’ll ask you to sign a Service Agreement so that everything is confirmed in writing before we go any further.

3. Sit back while I prepare
I’ll dive into your event’s context and terminology, and I’ll be in touch via email if questions arise. I remain available to answer your questions throughout my preparation so that nothing gets left to chance on the day.

4. Make the most of your event
I deliver the interpreting service onsite or online, ensuring every voice is heard and nobody is left out. You can focus on the conversation while I handle the language barrier.

Do you offer remote interpreting services?

Absolutely! I’m fully equipped for remote simultaneous interpreting.

If you’d prefer onsite interpretation, I can support you in London, across the UK, and abroad.

How far in advance should I book your interpreting services?

As early as possible. This ensures everything goes smoothly, from logistics to language preparation.

Can you interpret alone or do I need two interpreters?

For simultaneous interpreting meetings longer than one hour, a minimum of two interpreters are required.

Simultaneous interpreting is an extremely demanding task that requires interpreters to take turns every 20 to 30 minutes to maintain optimal focus and quality.

For consecutive interpreting, booking one interpreter can be enough depending on the specifics of the event.

What types of documents do you translate?

I primarily translate project reports, official documentation, and communications for international organisations and NGOs.

My main areas of expertise span mental health and women’s health, human rights and advocacy, farming and agricultural policies, and education and culture.
